I just got a 32" Samsung LED - as gift - & I need to set it up with the modem & DVR provided by xfinity.

I think you mean modem and infinity. You'll need to upgrade your cable box if it's not HD. So thats first. Then get an HDMI cable to connect it to your tv. You want streaming so you want to hook the tv into your internet system, you'll need a smart tv (is yours smart?) and an internet connection, either wired or wireless. Then you need to get the tv manual out and see how to do the streaming in the manual.
