Before i start don't think I'm one of these horrible child predators or anything. Basically today i logged onto Tor and went onto the hidden wiki. I couldn't believe that their was sections on child porn. Why is this stuff so easily accessible and why don't authorities just shut the sites down, it doesn't make sense. And yeah don't worry i didn't find anything but it was defiantly their. So yeah, why isn't this all shutdown??

I don't understand, you use Tor and go on the hidden wiki and expect not to find this? it's not easily accesible if it takes effort to get the browser and set it up. most normal users don't even know about Tor, why are you even on it?

the same laws that shut them down... also protects them.
well not really.... but they are protected by the laws of their region.
if a computer is in some backwards country that accept that backwards crap then there is no crime...
Once you view that backwards crap in a decent country you (client) broke the law (not the server)...

Probably because the people putting it out there are the same ones that are monitoring for predators
So they can come in seize peoples computers and while their at it ransack the rest if people's houses so that maybe they see if anything else sparks their eye
Just my opinion because I've been on porn sites and there is always some link or pop up that your browser can have the ability to block or easily close that has something that looks like a young mid teen

90% of the web is not searchable on normal search engines, ie google firefox, When you use tor your ip address is masked. Is not always masked sometime when you use applications your real ip will or can been seen. Out of that 90%, 85% in total junk, crappy websites. But 5% is dangerous stuff like Harcker's or crackers,child porn, guns and drugs. Its hard to shut down because of the region of the site in question.
I would say the likes of the NSA and GCHQ, troll these sites gathering intelligence. I would say they even host some of the sites to lure criminals or terrorists in. Better the devil you know. Its tactically sound way of gathering intelligence.
