How do I pre-mute the noizy ads on web sites? - Merrymice883 - 11-09-2012 08:51 AM

Ads like what are on facebook and other websites. You start doing your thing on the site, and all the sudden 2 or 3 ads on the site pop up at once and start making noise. How do I go about killing the noise? I could care less if they play, but if I wanted to pay attention to them, id've clicked on them. It screws with my music I have on and is soo much of an irritant, ive been considering deleting my facebook account.

Well I'm pretty sure you can go to file, preferences, and edit the web browser settings so that the Internet has no sound, not sure about muting one type of sound though.

you use the addon adblock plus for firefox/chrome so you never see an add again anywhere. (unless you have crome because some video ads havent been removed yet, but it works perfectly on firefox)
