How Can Twitter Help Small Businesses? - LOBO #42 - 10-01-2012 06:44 AM

1. What is Twitter? What is it for? How is it used?

2. How could small businesses use Twitter to communicate with customers or potential customers?

Hi,
Twitter is a social networking website where you basically post short messages (under 144 characters) in your profile.

If you have friends added in your account, whatever you are posting (aka tweeting) also shows up in their profile, and vice versa. So, what you tweet is displayed in all your friend's profile, their friends also get to see your message.

This way if you have a nice offer, a good article or just something useful can become popular or well known in a matter of few minutes.

The idea behind twitter is to figure out what kind products or services appeal to your target customer, and use their interest to build a relationship and basically convert them for cash XD.

I hope it helps.
