I only want the minimum, just my name only, on Facebook, for strangers to see, but of course, my friends, and close friends, easy access to my page. Where do I make sure that I have that the way I want it, what do I do, where do I go?

Go to the little drop down arrow beside the 'Home' button and click Privacy settings. You can make them 'Custom' and choose who can see and do what.

Go into your profile and click on privacy settings.
