Can facebook ads access recent google searches? - oleanna - 11-09-2012 08:54 AM

I was on Facebook and noticed that one of the ads that popped up on the side was for Avid laptop rental. Now there is nothing about Avid or anything to do with editing or filmmaking in my profile information but I did do a search for Avid rental in Google the other day. Does Facebook give out this kind of information to advertisers? How is Facebook able to access records of recent Google searches in the first place?

Sorry if I sound spooked, it was kind of a Big Brother moment.

Sorry i dont have the answer here, but i am interested to no this aswell, that sounds bad, they should not have access to your google searches, or anything else that isnt to do with facebook, crazy, if they do ahve the access and display ads acordingly, shocking
