I haven't tried them, but you could get a youtube account and put videos on, and post information about your band on videos of the same kind of music that you play. Its a great way to make people aware of your music.

facebook ads have viruses on them so most people stay away from them so I doubt you would get anything.

I think Google ads are much better and much more targeted. Check http://www.google.com/adwords
