I used to go to the search box and type groups and it wold show me what groups I have joined and also ones recently joined by friends. Now it doesn't do this though.
What am I doing wrong?

You can go to your profile.. click the info tab and below will be your Groups

Probably some error. Just go to "info" on your profile and then you can see them from there.
