On the group page, there is a 'Leave Group' option.

Go to the Group Page
Click "Leave Group" link in the right top corner.

It must be specify that you want to leave facebook or some specific group of facebook.
If you want to leave the facebook group you can do it. By opening the group page and make ur profile ungroup from it.
