I don't think you can get rid of them without removing your facebook account details at least temporarily, then restoring it without syncing your contacts. What you probably can do is merge all the contacts you don't want in to one single 'facebook friends' contact which would at least declutter your phone contacts. I have a Xperia so may not work the same but I had the same issue, I did the merge trick at first and when I had to reset my phone for some reason I didn't sync my facebook contacts with my phone when I logged back into facebook the first time.
