What is the click thru rate for facebook ads? - aristotlelus - 11-09-2012 09:02 AM

I want to place a facebook ad.

I would like an in depth answer on what the clickthru rate is like. What I should expect. i.e for every 1,000 or 100,000 impressions, how many clicks should I expect.

Also how much does it cost per CPM

That is a relative question. The performance of your ad depends on the target audience and the appeal of your message. When we did our prospecting for Facebook, we looked at Webtrends data which gave us an average 0.051% CTR. By the way, don't use the mass media style impression model. Do CPC, so you're only paying for leads, that is unless you're going purely for volume here. You could end up paying up for 100,000 impressions without a single lead.
