Why did Facebook change its privacy settings? - Lindts - 11-09-2012 09:03 AM

I don't understand why they would.. Facebook was always considered safer than MySpace, and now, because of the new privacy settings, everyone is starting to deactivate their accounts. I had no idea that other people who aren't my friends could see my photo albums until someone messaged me. How can I change it back? Is there a particular group I can join? My pics are already protected, and now it's just the fan pages that everyone can see.
LOL jogz calm down you're really being annoying

The reason Facebook changed their Privacy settings is because of people like you complaining about every little think facebook does!
They changed the privacy settings because people were complaining there wasnt enough privacy
soon facebook are putting an antivirus on aswell!
GET OVER IT!
Facebook is just trying to make their users happy that theyre not being hacked!

they wanted to show a little leg as it were to entice people to come in and join. you could go set things back to private but i don't have any specifics on that.

Not only your fan pages. Since the last changes your profile picture, your list of friends, and the groups you are in are only some of the information treated as "public". You can't hide your "list of friends" from people in it, and that information is available for anyone who know how to access to it.

I'm also against this changes, but there's nothing we can do. Facebook is unreliable and, even is they undo this changes, we can not trust this service because it can change the privacy settings any time the CEO pleases.
