How do I prevent a Facebook group from appearing under "groups" on the main homepage? Mousing over, clicking the pencil -> Edit Settings used to contain a display setting, but it seems to be gone...

you cant make it not appear on your homepage... but you are the only one who sees your homepage, so there should be nothing to worry about

If your groups member more than 250, than you can not able to hide it. I mean after a group's member will 250+ than facebook is not allowed to change it. If your member is not more than 250, than convert it into "secret".

Sorry, with new update now you cannot hide a group from showing up.
Facebook will list the eight groups that you have most recently used.
So what you can do is, don't use the group( the one you don't want to show up), so if you have more than 8 groups then it will automatically hide in the more groups.
