Maybe it's coincidence but a lot of the people I haven't added on Facebook has their entire info section hidden today.. Even the ones who haven't updated since a few months ago, so is this coincidence or something else?

yes, i think they did it yesterday or maybe the day before, I saw a notice on the site saying they were updating the privacy settings

Looks like they have. Below is an article published on the PCWorld website just a few hours ago (Dec 9/2009). It states:
"Following through on plans announced a few months ago, Facebook is rolling out changes on Wednesday to its privacy settings intended to make them simpler to adjust and understand by its 350 million end users."
