my friend from a different country wants to add me as a friend on facebook. but when he goes to my profile it doesnt give him the option to add me. or to message me. and my privacy settings allow requests from everyone and his is the same and it doesnt show a message box or request box on his profile. whats going on?

maybe one of you is 13 and the other is much older?
that's the only thing other than the privacy settings that you both claim are set correctly (maybe you or the other person dont understand the settings completely)
