Do you unfriend dead friends on Facebook? - Neon - 11-09-2012 09:10 AM Or do you just leave them sitting there on your friends list? If you unfriend them, how long after their death do you wait? I must admit, I'm not the type to go posting messages all over a dead friend's wall as if they were still alive. I think people just do that because they want everybody else to see it. If I ever felt the need to send my dead friend a message, I would probably private message them. Although I have never felt that need, and furthermore, I'm sure my dead friend is not sitting round in heaven or wherever checking her Facebook messages. I think Facebook is for the living. It is insensitive to unfriend a dead person? - Moe - 11-09-2012 09:19 AM Uhhh just keep them? Seriously. - cocomintypaste - 11-09-2012 09:19 AM well wouldnt their page be deleted? o.O sorry I never had a dead friend not yet - abraXus - 11-09-2012 09:19 AM no, i keep them because we have friends in common and we all miss the person - it's nice to see new tagged photos of the person we have known for 30 years but if you really feel the need to delete them, go ahead http://abrax.us/Facebook/RemoveFriendsTimeline.php - dagnabbit - 11-09-2012 09:19 AM My Aunt passed away a year ago. Though we weren't super close, I haven't deleted her. It's out of respect. Of course, no she won't be checking her Facebook anymore, but I'm never going to unfriend her. |
