How do I hide recent activity with the NEW privacy settings for facebook? - muggle - 11-09-2012 09:11 AM

I hate that recent activity shows on my wall. I don't think anyone needs to know who's status I commented on or what new group i'm apart of, etc. Please help!

Simple;
Go to your personal settings,
Select application settings,
Set everything (or only the apps you don;t want showing your activity), to 'Nobody' or 'Me Only'
BOOM, instant privacy

glad i could help you out Big Grin

You go to "Privacy Settings" and "Profile". Then, you manage your settings and save changes.

I'm having the EXACT same problem. I'm trying to figure it out right now, and no Y!A people are being helpful. I'll let you know if I figure it out.

You can't. There is apparently a bug in the new facebook privacy settings that shows this information on your wall and you can't turn it off. The "old settings" that previously hid this recent activity don't work anymore. Please see this facebook help thread for more info: http://www.facebook.com/help/question.php?id=258349&s=120

You can submit a bug report to facebook about this problem here: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=updated_privacy_bug

I'm having the same problem. I want to hide all recent activity, but it looks like in order to do so I would also have to hide my status updates, links, notes and photos. I can't find a way to ONLY hide the recent activity without having to hide everything else.

I guess all you can do is "Remove" it manually for now. Click 'Remove' on the right side of your post.
