I recently turned off the "chat"feature on Facebook (I can't see which of my friends is online). Does this also make it so my "friends" cannot tell that I'm online? I don't want them to know when I'm logged onto Facebook. Thanks--

yes, they wont see you as online, but they will still see the likes and comments and game statuses and stuff like that, which will of course indicate to them that you are online

When you turn your chat off it does make you invisible to people and they won't know that you are online.
