my twitter account..http://twitter.com/#!/allanahmethven9 has like, only 17 followers, anyone got any ideas how i can get more? thanks!

Follow a few people and some will tend to follow back. I don't really think it matters how many followers you have on Twitter, but if you are that bothered you could ask people to follow you? Tag people in posts asking them to follow you. You can even get some famous people following you. Some are kind enough to follow you back if you ask, but that's only if they have enough time on their hands. I guess sometimes you may need to act like a beg and say something like "Please follow me on here it would mean so much to me and make my day." If it's a musician for e.g. you could say "Hey, I listen to you music all the time. Your lyrics help me get through alot of things in life etc.." But really, you shouldn't lie to them, only say it if you mean it.

Well getting more twitter followers isn't easy. It's actually harder than getting youtube views in some ways. You have to post interesting content that fits your demographic and niche as well as not overpost useless info.
What I recommend you do is take a look at what your niche is. If most of your posts are about video games, then you're a tweet gamer, if your posts are about politics then you're an opinion tweeter, if it's personal then get ready to have a few stalkers.
You should include your twitter links everywhere with a message like "follow me on twitter @your account" and use networks and databases like Twiends (http://twiends.com/me/CrescentSkies) to get more followers who are watching your niche. With these methods you should see your followers rise up pretty fast (you won't get a million in a day but you might get a thousand in a month).
