Go to their timeline, click on where it says friends and click on unfriend at the bottom of the list.

Visit their profile or Timeline, click on the tab that says ''Friends'' with a checkmark on it's left side. At the very bottom of the drop-down menu, it will say ''unfriend'' , you simply need to click that.
