Question about Facebook Privacy setting.? - elsworthjulie - 11-09-2012 09:20 AM

In Facebook, if you go to privacy settings and under the topic "profile". There is a setting that says friends. The drop down arrow says only friends or friends of friends. If I chose friends of friends, does that mean my friend's friends can just see me in their friends list?

Yes Because they can access your profile

"Friends of Friends" gives all of the friends on your "Friends" friend list access to your profile as if it was public...If you didn't want them to have full access to your profile as if they were your "Friend", but wanted them to see more than what would show up in a search listing, you would then manually allow/not allow them to view each individual section (Wall, Status, etc.) by setting the sections you don't want them to view to "Only Friends" through the privacy controls.

It means that you're giving access to Profile to not only YOUR Friends, but to those on your Friends lists as well.

If you have material that you may not want those people to see, then you should just limit it to 'Friends'.
