Do you think my friend is bragging on facebook? - Priscilla - 11-09-2012 09:21 AM

I know people like to share good news on facebook with their friends...but I have a friend who constantly posts things like how "she's in love" with her husband and that she's lucky she found her soulmate. I'm happy for her, but its getting kind of annoying. Also, the other day I was telling her about my job, just where I work, she starting talking about her husbands work and much he loves his job and that he was just working there for a year and got promoted, etc, etc. Then, the other day, she posted how its been years since she got the chance to go on vacation, so I "liked" her facebook post, then she texted me a few days later saying if I saw her facebook post. I'm like ok...good for you..Do you think this is bragging?

Yes. Facebook is the ultimate playground for narcissists.

Maybe she is excited about her life and looks at her life as being blessed. That is not bragging it is being joyful and grateful.

No it's probably just her self centered personality. Just treat her as a diversification in your collection of friends.

It sounds like bragging and I would be annoyed too. People like that not only seem to be complimenting themselves, they seem like they are judging you. Anyway, she is telling you how much her husband likes his job, so maybe she has to go through this stuff with her husband at home.

Yes it really seems so. If you're irritated by it, I think you should block her posts from your timeline. You can still remain FB friends, but this way you don't have to see all those posts. If she's really irritating people, sooner or later someone will tell her brutally honestly about her behaviour.
