If I check Facebook,Twitter,Tumblr,Pinterest for like 5mins every hour- hour and a half, check emails 1-2x a day but never send any and maybe download 1-3 apps or songs a day

You mean 2GB of Ram? Yes, this will be enough to do most tasks. It is becoming more common to have 4GB of ram, and most new systems come with 4GB by default, but 2GB will be fine for the very light loads that you are talking about. You start to want/need 4GB or more when you do more memory intensive tasks, like running many programs at once or moving around large amounts of data.
Be aware though. 2GB is quickly becoming the MINIMUM amount of ram needed. If you ever plan on upgrading this computer in the future or using it for more intensive tasks like gaming and online gaming you are going to want the 4GB of ram.

Yeah its more then enough you probaly won't even get to the 50% point i do the same and include netfilx thrice a week and i get to about 70% so don't worry you should be more then find with that. hope this helps

I'm going to go ahead and assume by data you mean internet data since you say download 1-3 apps or songs a day, it may or may not be enough the best advise would to be monitor your usage for the first billing cycle and go from there, you may need to change to 3 or 5gb
