How do I remove the "Ads not by facebook" that's on my timeline and newsfeed? - Monica - 11-09-2012 09:22 AM

I have a macbook, and I use facebook on Chrome.
Yes, I've gone to window > extensions, but I don't even have add - ons enabled in order to disable it... the only thing that shows up is fast save.
I'm not sure what to do? I want to get rid of these stupid banners and ads that are in my newsfeed and on timeline.
How do I go about getting rid of them when on chrome, my add-ons aren't enabled?

Those ads are being inserted by whats known as "adware", see here for more info: https://www.facebook.com/help/adware

BTW a great way to remove the normal facebook ads on facebook is to install the FB Purity browser extension, its 100% safe & has lots of features for keeping your facebook clean: http://fbpurity.com
