Facebook is there a way to change the setting so whenever I like something it does not appear in the ticker? - Isis is holding on to a fading flower - 11-09-2012 09:22 AM

I don't like it when every single step I take it appear in the ticker for everyone to see. This is totally takes away the privacy. The same applies when I like a page how can i keep all these actions private?

thanks in advance!

yes, but you arent going to like it

you have to add individual people to your restricted list to prevent it

and that also means they will never see any of your status updates

so choose - are you using a social networking site to share things with your friends? or are you trying to hide everything you do from your friends, because if you are trying to hide what you are doing, there really is no point in using a social networking site in the first place

unless of course you want to see everything everyone else is doing, without them seeing anything you are doing, which is not how facebook is set up - if that's the case, you really should just not be using social networking sites - they dont work like that

For such activities go to your Activity log page and on the like activity you will see options likes Hide from timeline, select it. Now with whom you want to share can be customized by either selecting only me or make custom settings and to whom you wan to hide add the names in hide from option.
