I am thinking of giving up my atheism so I can rejoin my Church community. Is that wrong? - jimbo - 11-09-2012 09:22 AM

I have decided life is better as a Christian. I miss the community of going to Church. Atheists don't have such avenues to make friends (Facebook and World of Warcraft do not count). Religion is clearly the social glue that keeps us together.

Is it wrong to give up atheism so I can rejoin my Church community?

If you stay an atheist, I'll let you know me... Biblically. Wink

Just the lying, misrepresentation, and fraud part.

Be openly atheist and go to church.

If you just want friends why don't you do an activity that is worthwhile like yoga or boxing

Religion is a very bad glue holder....it's divisive by nature, but by all means, if you want to join your Christian ranks again because you don't want to be alone, then that's your perogative. But most likely it won't change what you believe...

it's actually right. but i you dont decide to gve.up atheism, instead, u make.up your mind about believing in God.or.not

I think you are selling atheists short. Perhaps you are referring to teenage atheists.

atheism is not a thing to give up.
it's a matter of what you think is true.
you can be an atheist and go to church — if you can stand it.

No it isn't. What a GREAT choice!
