I have just become an avon rep and am trying to advertise myself via a group on facebook. I have set up a group, but how do i get people to join it?!

if your hoping to advertise to a certain area - look for pages about that area and post your group link into there

You can advertise in the ads on the side of the webpages on Facebook, and that can access a large number of people, depending on the filters you put on the ad. You can also ask specific people to join, by getting Facebook to send them messages. There's a link on the group page. Then friends of those people can see that they have joined the group, and they join the group, then their friends see that they have joined the group, and so on, until you have tons of members. Often though, the group just needs time, and then slowly, as it gets more well known, the group grows. Remember, all groups and pages on Facebook start small, but they do grow!
