how do you follow real honest to god famous people on twitter? - Fizzbox - 10-01-2012 10:36 AM

...like Stephen Fry and Thom Yorke?...When I typed in their names, I came up with like a million people who were merely discussing Stephen Fry ect ect...I want the real people...(oh and don't make fun of me. I seriously just went on twitter for the first time today, and up to now it sucks)
can you help me?

I don't have a Twitter account, but I think I could help you out a little. Here's a few simple guidelines to follow:

1. Look for the account without numbers. For example, a username of stephenfry is more likely to be the real thing than "stephenfry36" or "omgilovestephenfrysoooooomuch!!!111"

2. Look at the posts. Do they look formal and thought out? Most celebrities would think things through before posting.

3. If the post/posts seem to be mocking the celebrity or making them look stupid, racist, etc. it's probably someone trying to ruin their reputation.

Hope I helped!
