Go to
Accounts
Privacy Settings
Search
Facebook search results - have as only friends
Public Search results - keep the box UNticked.

Oh boy, where do we start? SO much to say, so little space!

The easy one: if you're in Google - there is NO getting out! It will be cached forever!

Starting in December, 2009 Facebook (FB) decided your information wasn't yours to protect. FB's privacy statement said, and I quote (capitalization is mine)...

"Certain categories of information such as your name, profile photo, list of friends and pages you are a fan of, gender, geographic region, and networks you belong to ARE CONSIDERED PUBLICLY AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE, including Facebook-enhanced applications, and therefore do not have privacy settings."

Read the time line, here, because just within the last two weeks, your rights and what your FRIENDS share ABOUT YOU to outside FB partners have gotten even worse - MUCH worse:

The US Senate is thinking about regulating FB because of recent changes:

Even Canada is getting in on the act (and has been for quite some time):

I could go on, and on, and... but I'll spare you.

Ain't the Internet fun? [insert heavy sigh, here]
