I just added a new job on my profile, and it showed up as a change on my wall, but not out in my Facebook community newsfeed. I'm having problems finding just where these settings are. Where do you go to control what updates are shared on the newsfeed? Thanks...

You probably have it so recent updates are hidden.
Go to your profile, scroll all the way down your wall until you see the bar that says:
Older Posts Edit Options
Click on Edit Options
Unhide the recent activity of your choosing.
