i don't have facebook cuz i'm 10. my mom wont let me sooo..... my bro has one and i think he just receives it. You can't stop it you know.

When you get a notification from some application that you don't want notifications from, hover over that notification, there will be an x in the upper right portion. Click on the x, and a window will pop up giving you an option of not receiving notifications from that particular application in the future.
