Dont worry. When I first made a twitter I didn't get any followers but i did get some followers in like 2 days.

If your friends have a twitter ask them to follow you and make sure to follow them back. Post funny things that aren't offensive to others and you may get some followers. I also suggest posting on well known peoples walls and people may go to your wall.
