I hate my friends adding people from my Facebook friend list even if they don't know them. So was wondering if there is a way to stop others including those in my friend list from seeing others in it.

Not since the change to privacy settings a few weeks ago i'm afraid. Your friends list is available to your friends, there is no way around it!
EDIT:
Blonde.... That only now works for people who aren't your friends. If you actually read what it says next to the tick it quite plainly says
"Note: Your Friend List is always visible to you and your friends"
So again no it's not possible since the change in privacy settings last month!

Yes and ive done it to mine, as i hate it too, Go to your profile and click the pencil next to the friends and uncheck the box where it says hide friend list
