If I wanted to seperate one group into from another? Example, don't want family to see my party buddies. Know what I mean?

You can't block specific groups of friends from seeing certain other groups. However, you can prevent certain people from seeing your friends list:

Click on Friends at the top of the screen and click on the link to make a list. Make a list for your family. Once you've made a list, scroll over settings and click on Privacy settings. Go to profile settings and click the drop-down box for Friends and select Customize. In the Except These People field, enter the name of the list you made for your family. This will prevent the people added to that list from seeing your friends list.

It won't however, prevent them from seeing what your other friends have posted to your wall or photos that they tag of you.

You can put your family on a limited profile. Click on the drop down boxes for the other fields on the profile settings page. Use the same customize procedure to block certain people from seeing certain aspects of your profile.
