I accidentally entered my twitter info into a phishing site! what do I do? - greatdowntown528 - 10-01-2012 01:10 PM

someone sent me a direct message on twitter, it said someone made a "crazy tweet" about me, then gave me a link to a site called http://www.tvvilter.com. it said my session had expired so i had to reenter my user info. When i did, it just sent me to twitter again. i went back to log in again when i noticed that "twitter" was misspelled in the link. so i looked up "tvvilter.com phishing" on google and saw several reports that it was a phishing site and of account hijacks because of it. when i saw that, i immediately changed my password.

i'm still not sure if i am safe. does anyone know what i should do now?

Change your passwords and information on everything. Log into twitter, change passwords. If you had the same password for your email account, change that password too.

Just don't leave it on the same password and nobody will be able to get in.

Good move make sure it's a complicated password that isn't easy to crack:

pctool's password tool for generating secure passwords:
