Why does Facebook completely ignore my privacy settings? - Space Oddity - 11-09-2012 10:04 AM

Every post I make on a page or group can be found on google when I search for my name.

But my settings say only Friends can view my posts, Instant Personalization is NOT enabled, Public Search is NOT enabled, etc. None of my other settings are for "Everyone" either.

I deactivated my account I think they have lost the plot, they have been modifying servers after adverse publicity in AU, so I would be careful, once those link boxes are "accidently" checked I am not sure if the can be undone?

Your profile and most of posts in public groups can be found with Google. There is a special service powered by Google search around Facebook: Facebook Search site listed below. No Matter which privacy settings you've got. It doesn't require logging in and searches by keywords on Facebook.
Good Luck)
