Facebook Advertising? - gentlemeat738 - 11-09-2012 10:08 AM

I don't know why I can't understand Facebook Ads, but I don't. I have been reading about it and it seems like they have complicated things on purpose. I have just one simple question: Will Facebook Advertising cost me real money (money transaction)? Do I have to pay real, fiscal money? Thats all. Help please.
(And I'm not good in English, obviously Smile

Yes, you do have to pay real money. You pay either via credit card or Paypal. When you create Facebook Ad, you have to select whether you will pay for click (CPC - cost per click) or pay for impressions (CPM - cost per thousand impressions).

Pay per click means you are charged every time your ad is clicked on while pay per impression means you are charged every time your ad is shown 1000 times regardless if anyone click on it or not.
You can choose the price you want to pay in either format. Facebook will tell you suggested price which will ensure your add is shown, and a lot of times real price is lower than one they suggested, unlike in Google Adwords PPC.

Hope it helps, let me know if you have more questions

Yes.

I have a Facebook ad currently running and it costs me "real" money.
