Is Facebook Advertising Scamming Advertisers? - Student02 - 11-09-2012 10:09 AM

I'm using Facebook ads to advertise my new iphone game app, the ad points people to 'Like' my facebook page. I am getting tons of new likes, but it's very suspicious because nearly every new person who Likes the page does not allow other people to see any profile information- it's like identical. I also see almost 0 correlation between the number of Likes and the number of downloads of my game.

Why would people Like a fb game page when they haven't even downloaded the game? It's kind of fishy. If I didn't know any better I'd accuse FB of creating fake profiles just to Like advertisers pages so they can say how well it works and charge more!

Could be. I believe Google had to reimburse companies for pay per clicks some years ago that weren't "correctly" generated.
