"see who is looking at your profile." are these apps on facebook legit? - Viggy - 11-09-2012 10:12 AM

theres like 7 of these groups on fb now, where they say to invite 10 or 20 friends and then you can see who has been looking on your page, browsing your photos, etc. Is this real, or fake?

Completely fake. There is no way to see who is looking at your profile. Anything claiming otherwise is fake and/or a scam.

not true. there are rumors that there is an application called Trakzor that can track things like that, but it is completely false. the creator of facebook said that he would never allow that.

- Facebook applications can't access these information. That's because the Facebook API (Tool used to create Facebook applications) doesn't allow applications to access information about who visited your profile, who deleted you as a friend, ... without you adding the same application and allow it to do that.

-Moreover, for the same reason: people looking at your profile should have the same application and accepted that this application tells about which profiles and which photos do they look at.

-- Groups can in no way provide you with this information. If 20 of your friends join the group, how would the group's administrator know who invited them? Even if he knows, it's technically impossible for him to provide you with this information. He's Mark Zuckerberg himself. But still he wouldn't do it because that violates their privacy policy.
