How do you turn off the facebook timeline? - ~SpongeBoB-Lover~ - 11-09-2012 10:18 AM

I have it on there and I really don't like it. Is there a way to turn it off?

once Timeline is enabled on your account you can't get rid of it, if you want to give Facebook feedback about Timeline you need to write to them directly via their official Timeline feedback form here: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact_us.php?id=235841249796277

BTW It is possible to view all timeline pages in the faster loading and more user friendly old style profile page format, if you follow this simple guide:
http://fbpurity.com/remove-timeline
If you look closely, you will notice the page has received over 11,000 likes from people who have found the solution to work and be helpful.

FB purity is a safe browser extension / website, that has been reviewed and highly rated in The Washington Post, CNET, Lifehacker and PC World.

If you want further proof that FB Purity is safe, check out what Norton, the leading Antivirus company has to say about FB Purity here:

There's no way to undo the Timeline upgrade. Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook

this guide will help you learn how to use it

you can trick out your browser settings to IE7 to see your old page only on your own computer, but everyone else will be seeing your timeline and all the stuff you dont want them seeing, so it's really just not worth it
