Do you use Facebook apps like Farmville, Texas Hold'em Poker, or Frontierville? - Chris - 11-09-2012 10:33 AM

Those are just a few of the apps that will release your private info to advertising companies.

No I hate them especially farmville.

Yes.
But Facebook doesn't have any of my private information because I never gave it to them anyways.

The key to keeping private things private is to not give them to anyone at all. That way they can't share the information.

I do, but like Althea, I haven't given Facebook any info on me anyway - I can't because of my job.

I feel Zynga would have a lot of fun trying to track someone with no Hometown, no listed employers or schools, not connected to my siblings or family using one of their apps, no full DoB nor my actual surname.

This'll be interesting.

I like those adverts around the edges that say things like:

Are you 29? We have special deals for 29 year olds!!!!!!!

Like we would really believe they have special deals for 29 year olds and are not trying the targeted marketing that fb offers.

As for your question, yes I do use Farmville (well, I have it but rarely use it now) and tbh facebook apps leaking their users details doesn't really come as huge surprise to me. That's why my fb account is registered to my spam email account.
