Is everything PETA says true? - Soph - 11-09-2012 10:37 AM

I joined their group on facebook and joined their website, because I care really a lot about animals, but I had to leave the group because I found it too upsetting with the stories they posted. My husband told me they are probably lying about a lot of things or stretching the truth.... I don't know. If some of the things they say are true I'm surprised it's even legal. Some of the things are unimaginably cruel, some of it seems hard to believe.

It's unfortunate that the spell checker didn't catch that unfortunate error.
what you meant to ask was:
Is ANYthing PETA says true?

answer: no!

Any time you get a group,no matter who it is or the cause, there's also going
to be politically motivated reason to their agenda. One reason, they need funding.
Therefore, what you learn is going to be slanted or exaggerated to gather support.
But to their credit..without people watching things..there's horrendous things, such
as you read..can & do happen. Even if all isnt true...the ones that are,
are bad enough. PETA can be a little over the top, at times, too.
Like wanting Ben & Jerry's to use human milk for their ice cream.
Thus making women cattle instead of cows.

People can do unbelievable cruelty to animals... PETA is not the only org that exposes these atrocities... ASPCA.ORG, HSUS.ORG & FARMSANCTUARY.ORG are just a few... To learn more about what they do, go to http://WWW.PETASAVES.COM... and, yes, all these orgs need $$$ to continue their work... just the same as all the orgs that help people.
