I just got a twitter account. Right when I first went on my profile someone was already following me. I have no idea who the person is and I want to get them not to follow me. I blocked them but they are still on my followers list. How do I get rid of them?

they should of disappeared, if not straight away they may be gone once youve logged out and back in or may be gone a bit later.. ive blocked loads of randoms following me and ive never seen them again
