New Facebook Privacy Settings..? - emerald m - 11-09-2012 10:42 AM

Hi, i just recently looked myself up on the internet, and saw i was listed for people could go to my page on facebook, and i don't WANT to be listed on the internet.
So my question is; Is there a way i can go into my privacy settings and take te option OFF htat i don't want to be visible to the public?

Yes, click on Account (upper right)
select privacy. At the bottom of that page under Applications and websites click on "edit my settings"
find public search - edit settings, uncheck enable public search.

You can do that by going to Account->Privacy Settings->View Settings->Search for you on Facebook.
Also If you set any of your privacy settings as Everyone then it becomes available on the Internet.

I have written a detailed guide on how to set all your privacy settings to suit your need. Please visit it, mentioned in the source
