I have no friends and I am completely isolated? - David - 11-09-2012 10:47 AM

I seriously have no friends no one to talk to and i always feel very isolated. I am a senior in high school and it just seems like no one will talk to me. And on top of it i think i'm bi so that makes everything more confusing and makes me feel more isolated and i just have no idea what to do. No one will talk to me on facebook either.

Aw, soon you will be out and that stuff wont matter anymore! Just try to your best to communicate and if people aren't doing it back they arent worth it.

When did you start losing friends? Have you always felt isolated? Do you think you could use some help in developing more social skills? Go and see your school counsellor and ask for help with your isolation.

Except for the bi part I've lived my whole life much the same way as you. I have never been very popular with anyone and have no close friendships. I haven't even gone on a date for 14 years. I don't really like it but I've never been willing to any real change over it.

By the way, guys who think they're bi are usually gay so you're probably gay too. Save yourself the years of self-doubt and mortification and just go out on a date with a gay man. That will eliminate all doubt. And be proud and feel no shame about your sexuality. It is what it is so go ahead and enjoy it.

Dear David,

Have you ever done a self examination and asked yourself why I have no friends? Simply stand in front of a mirror and honestly ask yourself questions. It will not work unless your are painfully honest with yourself as I just said! The point is not to make yourself feel worse. The point is to identify problems or weaknesses that you, and only you can control or change! Once you have identified the aspects of you and your personality then study other boys who have many friends and see how they maneuver themselves through the rigors of teenage life. It is not easy being a teenager. Was the most difficult time of my life also. Hope my advice helps you to a more fulfilled life.
