Someone hi-jacked and deleted my Facebook profile (I trusted them with the log-in info, sadly)... Was this illegal? I don't think it is, but a friend of mine says that it is. Is there anything I can do?

i'd say yes. but since you gave someone your login info, then no. In china a while ago a lady's husband divorced her online and she "hacked" into his online account and deleted it. She did go to jail for doing that.
I'd say look into it if you're real serious, but otherwise learn from your mistakes and dont do give out personal information to anyone ever!
