Enter the email in the people search bar and only one result should pop up. If nothing pops up, either they have blocked you or they don't have one.

you just search for it, but this is misleading, as people can easily just make their email address unsearchable as outlined here

some people (like people looking for a job, or trying to get into college) dont want to be searchable
