I am rather active in a facebook group for artists, however the issue is that it's an open group, so anybody on my friends list can see my posts in this group through their newsfeed. Now, I write and draw horror and other scary things, so there are some people on my friends list that I would prefer not see my posts (primarily family and younger friends). Is there a way to block my posts on this group from appearing on my friends' newsfeeds?

bit of info I think I should add: no, it's not gore horror, just scary images and stories that some facebook friends have made comments about.

the only way is to add people to your restricted list

the downside is that they wont be able to see any of your status updates then either
