i just got a direct message on twitter from someone in a band i love, and i was wondering if they can send the same direct message to all their followers or if it was just to me, which would be awesome
but yeah does anyone know, for sure?

Yes they can send it to everyone. The majority of direct messages you get on Twitter were probably sent to a lot of other people.

Well people can only direct message if they are following you as well. So i would think it would of been to just you.

Yes.
It is only to you. And the person HAS to be following you
and you following them to send a direct message
