i heard that everyone has to change their wall into a timeline!! im wondering when and WHY are they doing this?

I haven't heard when but I know they're wanting to move everyone to it eventually. I clicked on the link just to see my page with it and you can't undo it either. I'm not a big fan of it at all and I have no idea why they're doing this. It's nice to be able to view everything at times but there really needs to be a disable button. Or at least an opinion to view profile either way.
